If Antiquing triggers your fancy, then you have got to get out to the shops in Oswego, Yorkville, Plano, and Sandwich Illinois, all located off Highway 34. You can spend an entire day or weekend venturing through antique shops and quaint boutiques.

Sandwich is proud to be the home of the Sandwich Fair. Held every year since 1889, it is the oldest continuing county fair in the State of Illinois! The Sandwich Fair Grounds also features The Sandwich Antiques Market, which is a one-day-a-month summer market featuring quality exhibitors.

If you looking for a weekend get-away, there’s a variety of accommodations in the areas, hotels, motels, bed & breakfast. One that really stands out in my mind is The Homestead B&B, which is an 1854 historic estate, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  They offer transportation to and from the Amtrak station.

And keep Blackhawk Moving in mind for all your antique moving and storage needs.
